Everyone stood there in shock. It all seemed to make sense though. Except for the whole kidnapping the kids and stuff. That they didn't know about. They all ran back to their cabin and there they saw a small white piece of paper on the table. Tony went over and looked at it. He opened it up. His eyes grew big as he read.
"What is it?" Molly asked.
"It's from our good friend Steve. The one who is after us."
"What does it say?" Chelsea asked peering over his shoulder.
"I don't think that you want to know," Tony replied.
"Come on, tell us," Drew said.
Tony looked down at the paper, cleared his throat, and began to read aloud.
"I now know that I cannot deny, that tonight one of you will....."
He didn't finish.
"Go on tell us," Molly said.
"....die," Tony finally finished after a while.
"What the heck?! That's it? Some scary freak," Drew said sarcastically.
"Oh shut up," Chelsea said to him, annoyed.
"So what do we do now?" Andy asked.
"I actually thought of a clever plan. How clever it is, is something I don't know."
"How about we do what we have been doing," Molly suggested. "Fool the freak."
"How?" Chelsea asked.
"Easy," Drew said. "We do the same thing that we've always done. We set out out a perfect trap and then we'll just have to wait until Steve falls into it."
"OK, but does that mean you know what the trap is?"
Drew took a deep breath, opened his mouth and then closed it. He shook his head and Chelsea gave him a look of disgust. Tony, Molly, and Andy were watching this little fight go back and forth, with their heads turning depending on which person was talking. After it ended, they started laughing.
As the light from the sun went down, the five decided to work on their plan. They dressed in their black clothes and headed out into the night. They stopped at the supply hut and took out five shovels and a big black tarp. They went on this so called "short-cut" that Drew had found. They finally got to Steve's cabin after what seemed like forever. They began digging right in front of his porch. The kids knew from all those recent attacks that to stay up all night, Steve would have to sleep all day. They knew that they had to work quickley.
They had dug six feet into the ground before Steve woke up. They quietly put the tarp on top of the hole. They ran behind trees and turned just in time for the show. Steve, not knowing what happened while he was asleep..... fell straight into the hole.
